CANHEIT, the only national conference for higher education IT professionals in Canada, brings together over 400 IT leaders, decision-makers, and professionals to connect, share, discuss challenges, and explore new ideas, technologies, and opportunities. Hosted each year by a CUCCIO member institution, CANHEIT is the not-to-be-missed event in the higher education IT calendar. Host institutions roll out the welcome mat and offer colleagues a chance to get away from the office and immerse themselves in keynotes, themed presentations, panels, impromptu networking opportunities, and social events. UPEI is happy to host this year’s CANHEIT conference on June 1 - June 4, 2014. For detailed information related to the conference, please consult the conference Website (https://canheit.upei.ca). The organizing committee has been hard at work over the last number of months developing the conference and are now at a point where they need help to make the conference successful. The types of tasks we need volunteers to help us complete include the following: helping to assemble delegate kits in advance of the conference; helping to greet delegates at the registration desk throughout the conference; helping conference attendees with wayfinding; providing time-keeping and logistical support in concurrent sessions; supporting conference evaluation data collection activities; and a variety of other tasks, as needed, to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Any interested individuals should contact David Taylor at volunteercanheit@upei.ca who will assist in matching you with a suitable opportunity. Volunteer spots will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis.
