UPEI Music Department Recital Series 2018—2019

Welcome to the UPEI Department of Music's 2018—2019 concert season! This year, the UPEI Music Department Concert Series offers a variety of interesting collaborations and solo performances:

  • Jazz Juno Winner "The North" featuring Johnny Aman, David Braid, Anders Mogensen, and Mike Murley
  • Two & a Half Sopranos featuring Sung Ha Shin-Bouey, Rebecca Apps, Hannah O'Donnell and pianists Paul Rodermond and Leo Marchildon
  • Atlantic Young Artists, Andrew Son, piano
  • My Favourite Things featuring Julie Nesrallah, soprano and Robert Korgaard, piano
  • Sounds of Sweden curated by Jim O'Leary featuring eklektikos, directed by Dale Sorensen; Luminos Ensemble; Morgan Saulnier, flute; and The Strum-DeBorba Duo
  • Fraulein Klarinette featuring Karem Simon and Jennifer King, piano
  • Dr. Frances Gray Music Performance Competition Finals Concert
  • Variations featuring David Rogosin, piano
  • Compelling Works for the Contemporary Saxophone Duo featuring Nicole Strum and Tristan DeBorba

All performances take place in the Dr. Steel Recital Hall, UPEI (except where otherwise noted). Barrier-free parking is available adjacent to the Steel Building; take the driveway between the Regis & Joan Duffy Research Centre and the Atlantic Veterinary College. Regular free parking is available in Lot C after 5:00 pm (see the campus map). For the mobility impaired, elevator access to the hall is available from the main entrance of the Steel Building. 


Music Department Afternoon Recital Series

The UPEI Music department is pleased to present UPEI Music majors in performance every Friday at 12:40 pm.

Recitals for Fall Semester 2018 will begin Friday, October 19 to Friday, November 30, 2018. Recitals take place in the Steel Recital Hall. Admission is free!
