Dr. Jacqueline Scott will be on campus this week interviewing for the open tenure-track faculty position in small animal surgery in the Department of Companion Animals at the Atlantic Veterinary College. Dr. Scott received her BVSc in 2009 from Massey University, New Zealand, completed a residency program in small animal surgery at the Ontario Veterinary College in 2019, and became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons–Small Animal in 2020. She is currently working at VCA Canada 404 Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital in Newmarket, Ontario.

As part of the interview process, Dr. Scott will give one seminar divided into two sections on Friday, March 8, at 12:30 pm, in AVC Lecture Theatre B:

  • a surgery topic to be presented at the level of a third-year veterinary student: "The Endocrine System: Adrenal Gland"
  • a presentation of her research interests: "Evaluation of perceived workload in performing a total laparoscopic gastropexy in a dog following the use of a box trainer system"
