POST-DOCTORAL POSITION IN ANTIMICROBIAL RESISTANCE

A Post-doctoral position in bacteriology is available starting January 2, 2010, in the Department of Pathology and Microbiology at the Atlantic Veterinary College, University of Prince Edward Island. Funding is available for 1 year with possible continuation. Research will focus on the molecular aspects of anitmicrobial resistance of foodborne pathogens and vaccine development.

 

A PhD in veterinary microbiology is required for consideration. The preferred person would be experienced in molecular microbiology techniques, such as transposon mutagenesis, real-time PCR, protein purification, western blotting, etc. Additionally, experience in animal experiment work and vaccine development will be highly valued.
