The Department of Political Science at the University of Prince Edward Island has an opening for a Sessional Instructor to teach POLS-1020 in Winter 2019. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.

POLS-1020 Introductory Politics II: Political Ideologies in Liberal Democracies
This course introduces students to a comparative analysis of the political systems of major nations, among them Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Russia, China, Brazil, India, Japan, and South Africa. Among the topics covered are political parties and electoral systems; interest groups and public opinion; and decision-making and public policy formulation in the areas of commerce, education, health and welfare. Lecture/Seminar:

Three hours a week / 3 hours credit

Qualifications:
Successful applicant will have a minimum of a Ph.D. in Political Science

Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster in the academic unit.
