The Faculty of Nursing, University of Prince Edward Island has a sessional teaching opportunity in 2 Sections of NURS 3040, Nursing Research Methods, in Fall 2017 academic year. These positions are subject to budgetary approval.

2 Sections - NURS 3040 Nursing Research Methods
This course is an introduction to quantitative and qualitative nursing research. It provides students with a solid foundation for the continued study of research and nursing scholarship. Students will develop an understanding of and appreciation for all phases of the research process, with an emphasis on the novice professional’s role as an informed consumer of research. Students will develop skills in critiquing published studies and in making judgements about the usefulness of research for nursing practice.
Lecture: 3 hours per week
Applicants must have a Masters Degree in Nursing or related health discipline. A PhD in Nursing or health field will be an asset. Strong expertise in research methods, health promotion and wellness, primary health care and translating research to practice required. Previous experience in teaching is an asset.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster, and to those with experience in teaching university level courses.
