The Department of Marketing and Communications is seeking applications for a Content Marketing Manager. This position will report to the Director and is responsible for managing the web production and creative team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accountable for content marketing initiatives to help drive traffic and engagement that deliver student recruitment and retention
• Collaborates across functions to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet business objectives at the lowest possible cost
• This role works with key staff to create the content our audience (prospective and current students) is looking for and to optimize the path to conversion
• Editorial requirements include basic SEO understanding, content development, distribution and measurement. Development of editorial governance so content is consistent with our brand voice, style and tone
• Editorial calendar and organization workflows must be developed and managed
• This person must understand the best practices of social media and which content and approaches work on each
• Measurement and optimization of the program will be required on an ongoing basis
• Manage the staff and resources of the web and creative team
• Lead the recruitment marketing strategy with the Director

QUALIFICATIONS:

• University degree in public relations, journalism, arts, or a related field
• Minimum of five (5) years progressively-responsible experience, preferably in a complex organization with demonstrated success in strategic communications, marketing and writing
• Experience in using a variety of marketing/communications tools and vehicles to communicate with audiences
• Intense commitment to product quality and building exceptional relationships
• Experience creating and editing content for the web, social media and traditional marketing
• Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it
• Ability to analyze and present content
• Project management skills and understanding how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment
• Experience working in a University setting is preferred
• Staff management experience
