The School of Mathematical and Computational Sciences is looking for a student research assistant.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful applicant will:

  • Conduct research in signal processing and movement analysis
  • Build and prototype gait and movement analysis systems
  • Write software to analyze people movements
  • Document the project for possible publication

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong programming background demonstrated by outstanding marks in core computer science courses
  • Experience with code version management systems such as GIT
  • Ability to work well independently as well as in a team setting
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet established deadlines

Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and the Procedures manual.
