The Faculty of Nursing, University of Prince Edward Island, is now accepting applications for a permanent part-time Clinical Nursing Instructor position. The instructor will provide direct clinical supervision to undergraduate students in medical-surgical units at the Kings County Memorial Hospital as well as the pediatric unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. This appointment is subject to final budgetary approval.

Qualifications:

BScN or BN, current registration or eligibility for registration with CRNPEI and at least 3 years of full-time clinical experience. Expertise in adult and pediatric nursing required. Previous experience in clinical supervision of students would be an asset.

Term: August 25, 2018 to April 25, 2019

Fall:  NURS 3230 – Partnerships with Client and Families Living with Chronic Illness
3 days per week (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) with 22.5 hours per week (August 25 to October 15)

NURS 2130 – Nursing of Young Families
3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) with 22.5 hours per week, involves shift work (Begins October 16)

Winter: NURS 2230 Adult Nursing: Transitions in Health
3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) with 22.5 hours per week
