Sessional Instructor - Faculty of Education (Fall 2018) *REPOSTED*
The Faculty of Education at the University of Prince Edward Island has an opening for a sessional instructor to teach the following course in the Fall session 2018.
ED 4470-2 – INTERMEDIATE/SENIOR SCIENCE II
This course examines the development, nature, and limitations of science and technology; the role of science and technology in society; and the teaching of science and technology in the schools. Time is devoted to an examination of the provincial science curricula, innovative teaching and assessment strategies and techniques, and the development of active learning opportunities.
This is a three semester-hour course offered on campus to BEd students in the Intermediate/Senior stream, from September 17 to October 26, on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 8:30am to 11:20am.
Qualifications:
A graduate degree in education, a Bachelor of Education degree, and a successful record of school teaching in the K-12 context are required. For applicants without school-based experience, teaching in other contexts relevant and appropriate to the position will be considered.
In all instances, qualified applicants on the UPEI Sessional Roster of the Faculty of Education will be given priority.
