ADS Level 4 - Administrative Assistant - The Office of Recruitment - Student Experience Hub
As soon as possible until April 30, 2018 (Term may be reduced or extended depending on performance, available funding and departmental requirements)
The Office of Recruitment is seeking applications from qualified individuals to provide temporary administrative support. Reporting to the Director of Recruitment, the incumbent will work as part of the administrative team in providing friendly, professional support to this busy office and its clients. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience using UPEI’s financial and student information systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Providing telephone and reception support
• Responding to a variety of student inquiries
• General office administration to assist the international recruitment team
• General accounting duties
• Preparing requisitions and other forms
• Preparing outgoing mail and couriers for the international recruitment team
• Maintaining filing systems
• Arranging appointments and meetings/workshops
• Multi-tasking
• Maintaining confidentiality
• Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Grade 12 graduation plus completion of a recognized post-secondary program in a related area is required plus relevant work experience, preferably in a University environment
• A working knowledge and experience in common office software programs - i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Apps, and UPEI specific programs such as: MyUPEI and 25Live
• Ability to establish priorities, multi-task, and work under pressure to deliver timely and exceptional service
• Experience working with international students or in multicultural environments
• Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision
• Experience in the use of UPEI Information systems: Colleague and Recruit, and UIS would be an asset
