The Department of Economics offers a Major and a Minor in Economics. To qualify as an Economics Major, you must complete 18 courses (54 semester-hours) distributed as follows: 14 courses (42 semester-hours) in Economics, 3 courses (9 semester-hours) in Mathematics, and one course (3 semester-hours) in Computer Science. To qualify as an Economics Minor, you must complete 7 courses (21 semester-hours) in Economics. The required courses for both Major and Minor are listed in the University Calendar and can also be found in these pages.
