UPEI Music Department’s annual faculty gala

UPEI Music's annual faculty gala performance will take place on Saturday, February 8 at 7:30 pm in UPEI's Dr. Steel Recital Hall.

Faculty members featured include Karem J. Simon, accompanied by pianist Frances McBurnie, performing Alessandro Marcello's Concerto for clarinet, and Gregory B. Irvine accompanied by Frances Gray on piano in a performance of Giovanni Battista Pergolesi's Sinfonia in F for tuba. Percussion instructor David Shephard will feature the marimba on A Little Prayer composed by Evelyn Glennie, and pianist Frances Gray will perform East Coast Suite composed by Island native
Heather Taves.

Tickets for the gala are $15 for adults, $10 for students and seniors, and can be purchased at the door, or in advance by calling (902) 566-0507 or music@upei.ca
