The Canadian 24-Hour Movement Guidelines for the Early Years (0-4 years)

UPEI will host a public lecture by Dr. Mark Tremblay, chair of Canada’s Physical Activity Guideless Committee, on Canada’s 24-hour movement guidelines for young children. The presentation will be Tuesday, March 13 at 7:00 pm at the UPEI Health Sciences Building in Room 105. 

Dr. Tremblay will discuss Canada’s Guidelines for Physical Activity, Sedentary Behaviour, and Sleep for children aged 0–4 years. His lecture will explore how these guidelines were created, the evidence supporting the guidelines, and how they are being implemented. The information will be relevant for teachers, early childhood educators, researchers, parents, health promoters, policy makers, and members of the general public.
