From June 26 to 30, the Jeux de l’Acadie (Acadian Games) will be held in Charlottetown, including on the UPEI campus. The Games are a combination of sport and cultural activities for Acadian and francophone youth from the Atlantic Provinces that promote youth development, the Acadian culture, and the French language. The University will host officials and members of the various missions in residence housing and for meetings, as well as be the venue for a number of sport activities. It is a large-scale event that would not be possible without the support of volunteers. There a number of volunteer roles available. While bilingualism is an asset, English-only speaking volunteers are welcome to register.
