Selecting Tomorrow's Veterinarians
The DVM program at the Atlantic Veterinary College is highly sought after and attracts the best and brightest regional and international students. The admissions process is competitive and strives to select applicants most likely to succeed in the veterinary curriculum with the potential to become competent, responsible veterinarians, dedicated to a lifetime of productive public service and continued learning.
Applicants must meet residency requirements for one of the four Atlantic Canadian provinces (Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, or Newfoundland and Labrador) in order to apply for a regional seat. Applicants residing outside of Canada, including those from the United States, may apply for an international seat.
Regional applicants apply directly to UPEI, while international applicants apply through the Veterinary Medical College Application Service (VMCAS).
