What are the Summer Sessions?

  • The Summer Sessions are four one-day courses being offered by the Office of Continuing Education and Professional Development, UPEI, in conjunction with Lee Gallant of IDEA Consulting. These courses are designed mostly for beginners who have a thirst for knowledge in a specific area.

Who is Lee Gallant?

  • Lee Gallant is the CEO of IDEA Consulting, based out of Summerside, PE. Lee has experience managing a beach resort, as well as six years with the Canada Revenue Agency in various roles such as auditor, training and learning for division, procedure procurement, and co-chair on a regional young professionals network. Lee has consulted and been involved in several businesses and non-profits both locally and internationally and currently sits on the Board of Directors for a local company. Lee is a graduate of the Sobey's School of Business at Saint Mary's University in Halifax, NS.

What are the four courses being offered as part of the Summer Sessions?

  • Marketing and Promotion for Beginners (July 26, 2022)
  • Board Member Basics (July 27, 2022)
  • How to Deal with Difficult People (August 10, 2022)
  • How to Fundraise Successfully and Obtain Sponsorships (August 24, 2022)

Cost

  • Marketing and Promotion for Beginners: $349 plus tax.
  • Board Member Basics: $299 plus tax.
  • How to Deal with Difficult People: $349 plus tax.
  • How to Fundraise Successfully and Obtain Sponsorships: $349 plus tax.

Where are the courses being held?

  • Each course is being held in Room 208, Robertson Library, UPEI (550 University Avenue, Charlottetown, PE), from 9:00 am–3:30 pm.
  • Snacks, a light lunch, coffee and tea are provided.
