Sessional Instructor - Department of Applied Human Sciences (Winter 2020)
The Department of Applied Human Sciences at the University of Prince Edward Island has an opening for a Sessional Lecturer during the Winter 2020 academic semester, subject to final budgetary approval. Individuals qualified to teach the following course are encouraged to apply:
KINESIOLOGY 1010 – INTRODUCTION TO KINESIOLOGY
This course will provide students with an introduction to the study of human movement, and explore the physical, social, and psychological aspects of development as they relate to physical activity. Topics include: exercise physiology, biomechanics, sport psychology, sport sociology and exercise psychology.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must hold a M.Sc. or Ph.D. in a field related to the respective course content. Documented experience teaching these courses would be a definite asset. Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster, and to those with experience in teaching university level courses.
