The University is seeking a full-time Project Coordinator for its Internal Audit and Risk Management function.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the University Auditor and Risk Management Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible to carry out the following duties:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the University’s Risk Register
  • Assist in the execution of internal audit assignments
  • Analyze and evaluate accounting information and financial reports
  • Monitor timelines and schedules for completion of tasks
  • Any other cognate duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Successful completion of a recognized post-secondary certificate or diploma in accounting, business administration and management or equivalent
  • Successful completion of an undergraduate degree
  • Good understanding of risk management, internal controls and accounting concepts
  • Detailed knowledge and experience working with computerized accounting systems, process mapping charts, spreadsheets and database query programs
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated professional judgement in dealing with sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong understanding of professional ethics & confidentiality
  • Experience working in a university or similar environment will be an asset
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
