The Department of Biology at the University of Prince Edward Island invites applications from UPEI graduate students who are interested in instructing laboratories in Biology courses for the Winter 2021 semester:

These courses include:

Human Physiology (Bio 1220), Introduction to Organisms (Bio 1320), Microbiology (Bio 2060), Vertebrate Biology (Bio 3040), Human Physiology and Pathophysiology (Bio 4010), Environmental Toxicology (Bio 4850), Conservation Genetics (Bio 4130).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include

  • Could include demonstrating, assisting or instructing, conducting tutorials, and the marking of exams and assignments; most class activities will be conducted online although some labs will be in-person
  • The successful applicants will be required to participate on a weekly basis for the duration of the Winter semester

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Applicants must possess good communication skills
  • Must be currently enrolled in a UPEI Graduate Program
  • Be WHMIS trained or be willing to take the training
  • Must have knowledge of the course material and have an acceptable academic record (min. 2.7 GPA)
