The Faculty of Education at the University of Prince Edward Island has openings for a sessional instructor to teach the following course in fall 2019.

4800-3 L'ENSEIGNEMENT DANS LES CONTEXTES DE L'IMMERSION EN FRANÇAIS, DU FRANÇAIS DE BASE ET DU FRANÇAIS LANGUE PREMIÈRE EN MILIEU MINORITAIRE (niveau primaire / élémentaire)

Dans ce cours, les étudiants examineront les similitudes et les différences de l'enseignement dans les trois contextes : l'immersion en français, le français de base et le français langue première en milieu minoritaire. Ce cours décrira les lignes directrices et les pratiques / stratégies utilisées dans chacune de ces trois contextes dans le système scolaire public.

This is a three semester-hour course offered on campus in French to students in our Bachelor of Education (français langue seconde) program from September 16 to October 22 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am to 11:20am.

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will have a Masters of Education degree.  Successful candidates will normally have school-based experience in a Canadian public K-12 system.  For applicants without school-based experience, teaching in other contexts relevant and appropriate to the position will be considered.

In addition, candidates applying to teach graduate courses will normally have established expertise, and successful leadership and/or teaching experience in a context related to the foci of the cohort.

In all instances, qualified applicants on the UPEI Sessional Roster of the Faculty of Education will be given priority.

THE OFFERING OF THESE COURSES IS CONDITIONAL PENDING FINAL ENROLMENT NUMBERS.   ALL SESSIONAL COURSES ARE SUBJECT TO THE FINAL BUDGETARY AND ADMINISTRATIVE APPROVAL.
