As soon as possible until November 1, 2021 (Term may be reduced or extended depending on performance, available funding and departmental requirements)

The Department of Health Management invites applications for a research assistant to work on a One Health project, mainly responsible for qualitative data analysis but may also include other activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Transcription of interview data conducted with lay members of the public surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic
  • Analysis of interview data using thematic analysis
  • Other duties as assigned by faculty members at the Department of Health Management

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of an undergraduate degree with a strong One Health focus and excellent GPA
  • Previous experience with qualitative research (including interviewing study participants)
  • Understanding of, and experience with, epidemiological methods
  • A thorough understanding of human health behavior theories
  • Previous research experience in highly productive research environments, and preferably related to the Covid-19 pandemic
  • Excellent scientific writing skills, presentation skills, and knowledge of research ethics, including successful completion of the TCPS Core 2 certificate
