The Faculty of Business at the University of Prince Edward Island has openings for sessional instructors to teach courses in the Executive MBA program in the fall 2019 semester. These positions are subject to final budgetary approval.

BUS 7200 Innovation and Entrepreneurship
This course looks at how to manage a business in an innovative and entrepreneurial culture. Topics include an overview of innovation and its value for a firm, entrepreneurial thinking as an approach to general management, how the innovation process works, creating entrepreneurial companies, organizing and managing innovation within existing firms, the role of technology, and coping with the strategic challenges facing all innovators. The course utilizes real-world learning techniques such as case studies, guest speakers, and projects.

(Offered every second Friday from August 30 to October 11, 2019)

BUS 6090 Business Communication
This course is designed to help students hone their oral and written communication skills. Students will learn how to deliver professional, engaging, and persuasive public presentations and written work. The course will also teach effective communication within meetings and team settings. In addition, the course will review the principles of academic integrity.

(Offered every second Friday from September 6 to October 18, 2019)

Qualifications:
Because these are Executive MBA courses, we seek applicants with a strong combination of qualifications and experience. Minimum educational credentials include a Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline. In addition, applicants should have advanced expertise in the course topic. Practical experience in the subject area, prior teaching experience, and knowledge and familiarity with “Evidence-based Management” principles will be considered assets.

Priority will be given to qualified individuals on the sessional roster of the academic unit.
