The UPEI Climate Research lab conducts research and science on climate change vulnerability, impacts, and adaptation. This summer we are seeking a Research Assistant to support research and data entry related to Coastal Erosion on 116 sites across Prince Edward Island. The Research Assistant will be supervised by Dr. Adam Fenech.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Travel to over 116 locations across PEI and collect erosion measurements
  • Perform data entry and summaries of research findings
  • Organize research results in databases
  • Produce and present final report on findings

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with data management and input
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly learn and master various computer applications
  • Strong public communication skills
  • Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Driver’s license and ability to travel to various locations across PEI
  • Knowledge of climate change impacts
  • Knowledge of coastal erosion
