The Department of Philosophy at the University of Prince Edward Island invites applications for a Sessional Instructor to teach the following course during the Fall 2019 session. This position is subject to final budgetary approval. 

PHIL-3010 Philosophy of Science
Science involves a set of attitudes, a system of beliefs, and a group of activities oriented to explaining the natural world. This course examines both the classical positivist accounts of scientific theory and practice and the more recent accounts of development and change in the global scientific culture.

Time:  MW 4:30 – 5:45 pm

Please note that applicants on the UPEI sessional roster for Philosophy will be considered first.

It is expected that applicants will have a Ph.D. in Philosophy. Applicants should submit a letter of application, an updated C.V., a sample syllabus for Philosophy 3010, and the names of three references to:
