Student Assistant - Office of Continuing Education and Professional Development - Student Experience Hub
$12.85 per hour (plus 4% vacation pay)
September 30, 2020 to April 30, 2021
The Office of Continuing Education and Professional Development is seeking applications for the position of Student Assistant. Reporting to the Manager of the Office of Continuing Education and Professional Development, this position will focus on assisting with communications, coordination and operations within the department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The student will:
- Assist with social media campaigns
- Assist in updating the office’s website information
- Assist in coordinating visits with campus guests
- Assist in the creation of marketing material
- Assist in database creation and management
- Assist with email and correspondences
- Assist with program registrations
- Assist in the coordination of local and regional meetings
- Assist with other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The successful candidate will ideally be a senior student and will be familiar with working in a post-secondary educational environment
- This position requires strong computer, organizational, social media and administrative skills
- Must have a keen eye for detail as well as excellent communication (both verbal and written)
- Must have strong interpersonal abilities
- Must be able to work in both a team environment and independently
- Must have sound judgement and experience working with Faculty members
