The University of Prince Edward Island, Faculty of Nursing invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. We are seeking candidates who are interested in joining a vibrant academic community with a commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship and research, and strong linkages to community researchers and practitioners. Our undergraduate and graduate programs are founded on a philosophy of primary health care. The position responsibilities could include teaching in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. The position is subject to budgetary approval.

QUALIFICATIONS:  The successful candidate will have a graduate degree in nursing, a completed doctoral degree or significant progress towards a doctoral degree, demonstrated excellence in teaching, strong evidence of research and scholarly work, and eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Prince Edward Island.  A strong background in psychiatric and mental health nursing is required. Experience with or interest in the health of Indigenous populations is welcome. A Nurse Practitioner designation would be an asset.

Start Date: January 1, 2022, or as negotiated
