The Faculty of Nursing, University of Prince Edward Island, is now accepting applications for a permanent part-time Clinical Nursing Instructor position. The instructor will provide direct clinical supervision to undergraduate students in acute mental health at the Prince County Hospital and long-term settings in the Summerside area. This appointment is subject to final budgetary approval.

Qualifications:

BScN or BN, current registration or eligibility for registration with College of Registered Nurses of Prince Edward Island (CRNPEI) and at least 3 years of full-time clinical experience. Expertise in mental health and adult nursing is required. Previous experience in teaching and clinical supervision of students would be an asset. Valid driver’s license required.

Term:  8-month permanent part-time position

Fall: NURS 3230: Partnerships with Clients and Families Living with Chronic Illness
3 days per week (Wednesday, Thursday & Friday) 22.5 hours per week (days/evenings)

Winter: NURS 1020: Foundations of Nursing II
3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday & Thursday) 22.5 hours per week (days/evening)

Hours: 22.5 hours per week, involves days and evening shift work

Salary: $44.07 per hour in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the University of Prince Edward Island Board of Governors and The University of Prince Edward Island Faculty Association Bargaining Unit #1

Start Date: August 25, 2022 (August – April annually)
