The Faculty of Education at the University of Prince Edward Island has openings for a sessional instructor to teach the following course in summer 2022.

ED-6140-48 - Theories of Research and Learning

In this course, students address the role of theory in educational research. The aim is to familiarize graduate students with various theoretical frameworks including theories and principles of learning.

This is a three semester-hour course offered on campus to students in our MEd Focus on Inclusive Education (Qualify for PEI Additional Designation), from July 11 to July 15, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:20 p.m.

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will have a Masters of Education degree. Successful candidates will normally have school-based experience in a Canadian public K-12 system. For applicants without school-based experience, teaching in other contexts relevant and appropriate to the position will be considered.

In addition, candidates applying to teach graduate courses will normally have established expertise, and successful leadership and/or teaching experience in a context related to the foci of the cohort.

In all instances, qualified applicants on the UPEI Sessional Roster of the Faculty of Education will be given priority.

The offering of these courses is conditional pending final enrolment numbers. All sessional courses are subject to final budgetary and administrative approval.
