The Health Centered Research Clinic at the University of Prince Edward Island is seeking a research assistant for grant-funded projects on a limited term contract basis. The successful candidate will work directly with current research team members on health projects related to patient-oriented research and chronic disease management strategies and rehabilitation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collecting data for research purposes
  • Participating in library searching and scoping reviews
  • Meeting with patients and caregivers to learn about their lived experiences
  • Inputting data for analysis
  • Collaborating with the research team
  • Coordinating study participant recruitment
  • Scheduling tests and appointments for research participants
  • Recording, classifying, and summarizing research data according to established procedures
  • Performing other related tasks as outlined by the research program director

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completed a relevant post-secondary degree, master’s level preferred
  • Experience with the research process, data collection and interpretation
  • Experience with literature searching and manuscript preparation
  • Experience working with individuals with chronic conditions considered an asset
