$18.99 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay, as per CUPE 1870 (Grant Funded) (Off Scale)

As soon as possible until October 29, 2021 (Term may be reduced or extended depending on performance, available funding and departmental requirements)

A research assistant is required to help support a project that is creating a dietary pattern for childcare centres using the 2019 Canada’s Food Guide.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Nutrient analysis and menu development
  • Assist with project coordination duties
  • Project report and manuscript writing
  • Other duties as assigned by the research team

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of an undergraduate degree in Foods & Nutrition
  • Research experience using the 2019 Canada’s Food Guide for early learning environments
  • Understanding of, and experience with, menu development and nutrient requirements
  • Excellent scientific writing skills
