The Faculty of Education requires a person to review and summarize graduate student admissions files. This position will be as needed, up to five hours per week, for an eight week period.  This casual position may have irregular hours and may be reduced or extended depending on performance, available funding, and departmental requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The work involves reviewing graduate studies admissions files and providing a summary of application components such as academics, experience, and references.  The position also requires tracking application details in a spread sheet or database.  Confidentiality and attention to detail is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Successful completion of Grade 12 and an Administrative Assistant program with at least two years related experience (preferably in a University environment) or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience
• A Bachelor’s degree would be considered an asset
• Demonstrated computer skills
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
