The Human Resources Department is seeking a student assistant to work up to 10 hours per week; schedule may vary depending upon the needs of the department during the term.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the student will work on a combination of day to day assignments as well as general office and clerical routines, including:

  • Filing
  • Word processing, data entry, spreadsheets
  • Data verification, proofreading
  • Assisting with mail-outs and other distribution
  • Photocopying, shredding
  • Retrieving and inputting information
  • Other related duties

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong computer skills in Word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Good analytical skills, accuracy, discretion and good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Courses in Human Resource Management; and General management and/or related experience would be a definite asset

Priority is given to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and Procedures manual.
