The Faculty of Education at the University of Prince Edward Island has an opening for a sessional instructor to teach the following course in winter 2020.

ED 3640 ASSESSMENT OF ADULT LEARNING

This course examines general principles, processes, and techniques of assessment and evaluation that meet the needs of the instructors, learners, and stakeholders. New assessment techniques in the psychomotor domain are expected. Students develop practical experience in designing and implementing strategies for identifying learners’ needs and assessing learning outcomes in the adult, technological, and/or business sectors.

This is a three-semester hour course offered on campus from January 6 to March 25, on Wednesdays from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will have a Masters of Education degree.  Successful candidates will normally have experience teaching adults in a community college or adult education setting.  For applicants without experience instructing adults, teaching in other contexts relevant and appropriate to the position will be considered.

In all instances, qualified applicants on the UPEI Sessional Roster of the Faculty of Education will be given priority.

THE OFFERING OF THESE COURSES IS CONDITIONAL PENDING FINAL ENROLMENT NUMBERS.   ALL SESSIONAL COURSES ARE SUBJECT TO THE FINAL BUDGETARY AND ADMINISTRATIVE APPROVAL.
