Members of the Navy Reserve serve in part-time and full-time roles within the Canadian Armed Forces. Their main role is to become trained in their occupation for operating at home and abroad. Reservists typically serve one or more evenings a week and/or during weekends at locations close to home. Full-time employment is available for occupational training and when members are available. Reservists have the opportunity to volunteer for operational deployments. Starting at $125/day, and $185/day after promotion to Sailor First Class(approx 2-3yrs.). Full-time positions offer 7 full day’s pay in a 37.5hr work week, as well as great health benefits, 20 vacation days/year, and paid travel costs/accommodations/meals while away from home.
