Xiufeng Liu is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education, University of Prince Edward Island, PEI, Canada. Before he joined UPEI in the summer of 1998, he was Lecturer, Assistant Professor, and Associate Professor at the Department of Educaiton, St. Francis Xavier University.
He has a B. Ed. from Xiaogan Teacher's College, Hubei, and M. Ed. from Eastern China Normal University, P. R. China. He also has a Ph. D. in Curriculum and Instruction in Science from the University of British Columbia , Vancouver, Canada.
Teaching
Xiufeng teaches undergraduate courses in science methods and the graduate course in Research Methods.

Research
His current research interests include Changing Students' Conceptions in Structural Characteristics in Science, and Computer Integration in Science Teaching. He has received external grants to fund his research from Social Sciences and Humanities Council of Canada (SSHRC), Office of Learning Technology (OTL) of Human Resources Development of Canada, Canadian Heritage, and the Spencer Foundation.
