Dr. Norma
Guy Dr. Guy is a professor of animal behaviour and animal welfare at the Atlantic Veterinary College, and founded the first Clinical Behaviour Service in the region, providing consultations on pet behaviour problems. Born in Halifax, she is a graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College, and has also completed graduate work at the AVC on canine aggression. Along with her husband and 2 children, she now shares her home with 2 dogs (Tek and Nell) and 2 cats (Zippy and Nova). She is a big believer in the benefits of using reward-based methods of training, and has taken a number of advanced courses in clicker training. The program at the PEI Humane Society has given Dr. Guy the opportunity to spread the word about more humane and effective methods of dog training to both veterinary students and the community.
