| What is Clicker Training?
Dogs can be taught ANYTHING with clicker training! They can learn simple commands such as "Sit", "Stay", and "Lay". For instance, if you are trying to teach Fido to sit, you simply click as his bum is going down towards the floor and then give the treat. When Fido begins to understand why he is being clicked and treated, you start adding the word "Sit". But remember, to still click! Dogs can also learn how to behave calmly, not jump up, or not to bark (click when the dog is being quiet). The possibilities are endless! HOW ARE THE DOGS TAUGHT? The dogs are taught using clicker training. This uses positive reinforcement
to shape the dogs to do the commands we ask. The dogs learn that a "Click"
means a treat! The "Click" comes WHILE the dog is doing what
we want and the treat follows right after. The "Click" is much
easier for a dog to understand

can help you on the path to clicker training your dog. We have also set
