My satellite setup includes operational abilities for voice, and digital operation with the 1200 PSK and 9k6 amateur satellites using the Icom twins: the IC-275A and  IC-475H .

The IC-275 is used for the uplink and puts out a maximum of 25 watts . The IC-475H is used on the downlink. Both radios were modified for 9k6 digital operations according to information supplied by Roy, W0SL.

A B2516G Mirage amplifier is used to increase effective output of the IC-275A to a maximum of 160 watts. Currently either an AEA Isopole or a quarter wave antenna is used on 2 Meters.

A Landwehr  GaAs 70 cm Preamp is mounted at the antenna which is a M Squared 70 CM eggbeater. A 33 foot run of Beldin  9913 is used to connect the preamp to the IC-475.

Digital satellite operations are facilitated with a DSP2232,  a TAPR Trakbox, and a 60 MHz Pentium running WISP under Windows 95. A considerable amount of care went into interconnecting the DSP2232 with the computer, IC 275/475 twins as well as the TS-690s.
