AMSAT
& SATELLITE OPERATION

The Radio Amateur Community under the auspices of AMSAT maintains a number of orbiting satellites capable of
analogue and digital operations in space. While station requirements are a little more
complex than those of the average terrestrial station, a satellite station is not all that
difficult to set up. Information regarding the
setup for digital operations using the Icom twins (IC-275/IC-475) at my station is
available to those who are interested in satellite operation using Modes A, B, JA, JD, or
JM.
