AMATEUR RADIO - VY2DCS
The station includes the
capability for HF, 6 Meter, 2 Meter, and 70 Cm operations using either voice or digital modes. Numerous other modes
are available to the Amateur Radio Operator to experiment with. In addition, the station
includes capabilities for operations on various
satellites. All radios can be controlled by computer. Visual details of the
station can be obtained by clicking on the picture to the left. Information on my
HF antenna system is also available.
As always the final courtesy of a contact is a QSL card.
The transmit audio setup is
extensive. It includes the capability to switch between a number of microphones as input
to any one of the radios or to the sound card in the computer. A Mackie 1202VLZ is used as
a audio mixer, microphone pre amp and audio equalizer. A boom mounted Electrovoice RE20 is
visible in the picture. The receive
audio setup includes a number of interesting capabilities as well.
