Course Development: I was asked by University of British Columbia to develop a web-based course as an Introduction to School Libraries. I developed the course and taught it twice for UBC.
Summer Session at UBC 2001. . I was invited to teach two courses in school librarianship for the Language and Literacy Department in the Faculty of Education at UBC. These two courses proved to be very popular with students and very positive course evaluations.
Organizer and Chair: Media Awareness Network visit and series of meetings held on PEI. I organized a set of meetings for Jan D’Arcy of Media Awareness Network where she met the leaders of various library groups in the province. I organized speaking sessions with Faculty of Education pre-service teachers and the general public. Jan’s address: Creating a generation of Internet savvy children was a huge success and was held in the Information Technology in Education Centre at UPEI.
Organizer and Chair: Innovation, Integration and Collaboration in Information Technology Learning Environments. A research symposium of five major papers. I organizer the presentation, acted as Chair and presented one paper. This symposium took place at the American Educational Research Association Annual Meeting in Montreal, Quebec, April, 1999.

Website Development Part of the final dissemination of research and reports for the Teaching and Learning with Information Technologies Project included the development of a website and the organization of all materials related to this Knowledge Economy Partnership Project. The TLIT website is located at: http://www.upei.ca/fac_ed/tlit
Website Development A website will be launched June 2000 to support and disseminate the work of the Choosing and Responding to Information Books (C.R.I.B. Project) research project funded by SSHRC.
Website Development I designed the website for the PEI Teacher-Librarians’ Association. This is the homepage of the Association where members and others interested in school librarianship can visit for up to date information on PEI teacher-librarianship. The PEITLA Executive was very pleased with the website and especially happy that the Faculty of Education and UPEI agreed to host the site.
Website Development In most of my courses I like the students to produce something for others who are not taking the course. This was true as I had a group of students take a special topic course in school librarianship. We worked together and developed a Handbook for Administrators on School Librarianship. The site is called School Libraries for Lifelong Learning and it is also hosted by Faculty of Education and UPEI. It is a comprehensive website with all kinds of practical support for school administrators wanting information on their school library program. The site has been used in subsequent school library courses at UPEI and also at the UBC course I taught in summer 1999. URL http://www.upei.ca/~fac_ed/projects/handbook/index.htm
Website Development I developed a Clearinghouse of Resources on WebQuests which covers the basics of making your own webquest and it provides links to best samples and useful resources. URL http://www.upei.ca/~fac_ed/distance/ed531/webquest_home.htm
