  • gill arch skeleton, composed of hyaline cartilage
  • cross-sectioned and longitudinal skeletal muscle
  • an artery which may be either afferent or efferent
  • filaments (primary lamellae) with cartilagenous gill rays
  • secondary lamellae, each with a central capillary network
