COMMENT: This 1um thick plastic section is used extensively in this course. The tissues are high in contrast, and bacteria can be found throughout the section. It is important to remember that neonatal tissues are not always in a "typical" (ie. mature) form. For example, the nerves are not myelinated, and skeletal muscle fibres may have central nuclei.
