Places to Eat

The Maps below show some popular locations for grabbing a bite to eat.

Around the University are mainly fast food restaurants.  Doolies is a local upscale billards hall, but also offers an inviting atmosphere for just having a few drinks.  Lone Star offers up food with a Mexician flare.

In the Downtown core, there are several options where to dine.  Both Cedar's Eatery and Shaddy's offer Lebenase dishes, as well as more standard North American style dishes.  Piazza Joe's will appeal to those with a fancy for Italian foods.  Despite its name, Piece of Cake is not a dessert lounge (although it does offer a variety of deserts that will satisfy most sweet tooth's), but serves up seafood, steak and pasta dishes.  Reservations are recommended.  The Off Broadway Restaurant provides fine dining in a casual atmosphere.  Upstairs to the Off Broadway is the 42nd Street Lounge which has a large selection of premium spirits.   The Claddagh Room on Kent St. bills itself as a 'Seafood Specialty House'.   Upstairs from the Claddagh Room is the Olde Dublin Pub, which on most evenings has live music with that 'out East' sound.  The Water St. Pub offers standard pub fair, while the Merchantman Pub steak, seafood and Thai dishes in an "Authentic Pub Atmosphere".
