An Invitation to join us in Charlottetown for the APLA 2001 Conference
We would like to extend a warm invitation to join us at the Delta Prince Edward Hotel and Conference Centre in Charlottetown for the Atlantic Provinces Library Association's Conference, from May 31 to June 3, 2001. This year's conference theme is "Convergence: make the connections - faites les connexions."

Discover new ideas or find solutions to old problems. Attend a preconference workshop on web awareness, repairing mangled tapes, or creating harmony in the work place.

Look into the future. Join dynamic keynote speaker, Stephen Abram, as he explores the meaning of convergence and the future roles of librarians and information specialists. Are we headed down the yellow brick road

Revitalize yourself. You can select from sessions that explore new paths in technology, investigate improved services to users with disabilities, play with puppets and books, or wax nostalgic with Sue Sexty as she looks at the beginnings of APLA.

Celebrate. The OGM has been scheduled earlier, 5:15 PM on Friday, to allow for leisurely dining in one of Charlottetown's fine restaurants or lively pubs. On Saturday evening, we will honour our merit award winner, listen to National Librarian Roch Carrier, and dance to the music of ECMA New Artist/Group of the Year nominee, Celtic Tide

Come. Converge on Charlottetown. Make the connections with your profession and colleagues.

We look forward to seeing you in May.
