
Dr. Rosemary Herbert is Acting Vice-President, Academic Development, at the University of Prince Edward Island. Her office provides leadership in the following areas by:
- leading in the development of a student-centred university
- fostering the development of student life and of the university as a community
- serving as UPEI's administrative officer for the academic support units: computer services, student services, libraries, student recruitment and retention, registration, athletics, international education, life-long learning, and campus wellness
- helping set the tone for the learning environment in UPEI's faculties: Arts, Business Administration, Education, Nursing, Science, and Veterinary Medicine
- facilitating cross-curricular program development of writing and other academic strengths
- fostering the progressive use of technologies at UPEI
- serving as a key member of UPEI's Senior Management team
- promoting faculty development
- facilitating educational partnerships at UPEI
- playing a lead role in University planning and policy development
- facilitating the development of the President's Annual Report and Maclean's Survey
- promoting Internationalization at UPEI
In her leadership role as Vice-President, Academic Development, Rosemary Herbert chairs the following University committees which serve the academic needs of the University.
