Are UPEI’s technologies ready for commercial use?
UPEI’s expertise is research and teaching. Most of UPEI's technologies will require further development by the licensing company in order to create a commercial product.
Do I have to sign a confidentiality agreement to find out more about UPEI’s technologies?
Each technology has different levels of public information available. Some have published papers and patents that describe the technology in detail while others can have only short, non-confidential descriptions. Greater exchange of relevant information can take place once you sign a confidential disclosure agreement with us.
What does UPEI look for in a potential licensee?
UPEI wants the highest chances of successfully transferring its technologies to industry and this is will be with a company that has the necessary resources, technical, and management expertise to transform a technology into a commercial product or service.
