|Description:||Awarded to five (5) students who are in good academic standing and have shown an interest in the Buddhist faith by the successful completion of one or more of the following courses: Religious Studies 102, 221, 352, 251 or 261.|
|Background:||This annual award was established by the Moonlight International Foundation, a non-profit organization incorporated in Prince Edward Island in 2010. To repay the kindness of the community and to help all living beings attain happiness, the Foundation is founded to carry out projects that are aligned with five major missions; they are: poverty relief, animal welfare & protection, agricultural & natural lands preservation and protection, social welfare & education, and lastly the promo tion of peace and diversity among different cultures and religions. Despite being a young organization, the Foundation has successfully accomplished some remarkable initiatives in local poverty relief, preservation of the natural environment, welfare of animals, welfare and education of Islanders and enhancement of cultural diversity. Thanks to our founder's eminent and astoundingly visionary leadership, 2011 marked a prominent beginning for Moonlight.|
