| Background: | The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International (est. 1929) is a professional honorary society of women educatorswith an International mandate in support of women educators. The Prince Edward Island IOTA chapter wasestablished in 1984. Delta Kappa Gamma promotes professional and personal growth of its members and excellencein education. The Delta Kappa Gamma (Prince Edward Island IOTA Chapter) Award is established at the University of Prince Edward Island to assist and support women educ ators on all levels. |
